F.A.Q.S.
At American Sewer Warranty we believe that the biggest part of our job is education. People don"t think about their sewers until they become a problem. We understand that sewer back ups and the damage they cause are incredibly stressful situations. A major factor to this stress is not knowing the cause of the issue. This is why we camera every line with our complete maintenance. This gives us the ability to show our customers what the problem is and what is necessary to solve it.
Why do preventative maintenance?
Sewer repairs are one of the most costly expenses a property can incur.
Problems with sewer laterals generally develop slowly over time. Identifying these issues early can prevent costly repairs and back ups.. Implementation of a proper maintenance program can extent the life of a sewer lateral for decades.
What is Hydro-Flushing?
Hydro-flushing uses high pressure water to break up and remove any blockages. The head of the flusher spins cleaning 360 degrees of the sewer lateral. It also allows us to target the problem area of the lateral and not cause any unnecessary wear and tear to other parts of the lateral. Its the most effective equipment to remove grease and tree roots, the 2 most common causes of back ups, on the market.
Why do I need a Camera Inspection?
Camera Inspections give visual conformations of issues effecting the flow of sewer laterals. Not all issues with sewer laterals are as easy to identify as a broken line. Having a baseline video of the lateral before issue occurs helps us identify tougher to diagnose problems. The camera also allows us to locate the issue above ground.
How do I know if my sewers are having issues?
There are several signs that signs that your sewer lateral has an issue. The most common sign is a sewer back up. Another common sign is a foul odor. Partially obstructed laterals often cause the line to burp sewer gas when the line is in heavy use. Unexplained odors are often a warning for a future back up. The third most common sign is a chugging noise made by the drains, This is noise is caused by a partial obstruction forcing the sewer lateral to vent through a floor drain.
